Oxygen SENSORS

The CS87 and CCS 2000 series of oxygen sensors are designed for measuring the oxygen partial pressure of the furnace atmosphere. The robust design withstands thermal shocks and maximizes service life. A self-cleaning mechanism keeps a permanently clean surface between the zirconium dioxide and external electrode, always ensuring accurate signal detection. The modular construction allows easy disassembly/assembly and fast replacement of parts.

H2Smart - INTELLIGENT HYDROGEN SAMPLING SYSTEM

The H2Smart is an integrated sampling system designed to measure hydrogen content with high accuracy in nitriding and nitrocarburizing atmospheres and to calculate the parameters necessary for process control. A unique measuring cell design and advanced electronics eliminate the need for a reference gas cell, thus simplifying the installation. An integrated sampling pump with variable output and a flow monitoring circuit with alarm and pump saturation warning, insure reliable sampling. The pump provides a continuously controlled flow despite any sampling line obstructions or filter contamination, assuring accurate measurements and consequently better process control.

The measuring block is maintained at a set temperature to protect the system from moisture formation and cell contamination during nitrocarburizing and post oxidation processes.

The intelligent sensor is capable of calculating the following process parameters: pH2, pNH3, pO2, pCO, pCO2, KN, KC, KO and dissociation.

H2 - Sensors

Special sensors for recording the H2 value in nitriding and nitrocarburizing atmospheres by measuring heat conductivity in gases.

H2 Sensor (Hydrogen Sensor)

Construction The measuring body is made of stainless steel. The integrated electronics for heating control and the reference value recording are enclose in a solid case.
Available lengths 700mm 27"
Outer tube diameter 27mm (1")
Measuring range 0 - 80% absolute H2 in N2
Protection precision 1% absolute
Conditions The sensor measures the conductivity of gas mixtures and is calibrated for the conductivity of H2 in N2. Other gases proportions must be known in order to measure H2: N2 can be calibrated.

Thermocouple

Type S / Pt10RhPt

Electrical connection:

The measured values can be transmitted over the integrated CAN controller in PDO format to an end system.

- type S thermocouple for the temperature measuring chamber
- 24 V supply for electronics and heating control
Maximum Temperature Max. 80 ˚C (176 ˚F)
Options: The measured value can be transmitted for 0/4 -- 20 mA or 0 -10 V with an external CAN analogue module

INTELLIGENT NITRIDING SENSOR

INS is an intelligent oxygen measuring probe that, in addition to continuously sampling the atmosphere characteristics of nitriding and nitrocarburizing processes, calculates and regulates the nitriding potential (KN). This superior process control results in layer structures and properties tailored to the requirements of the application, and yields higher quality parts whose mechanical properties are reliable and reproducible.

ATMOSHPERE CONTROL
Based on the inlet gases and the output of the probe, INS calculates the partial pressure of O2, H2, H2O, CO, CO2, NH3, CH4, N2 and controls the KN, KO, KC, and log(pO2), the latter is the oxygen partial pressure in logarithmic scale.

PROCESS CONFIGURATION
Control parameters are completely adjustable and are configured through the serial interface. As a result, the nitriding potential is tailored to the application.

OTHER BENEFITS
Self-cleaning mechanism keeps the surface between the zirconium dioxide and external electrode permanently clean, ensuring an accurate signal detection.
Can be retrofitted to existing nitriding/nitrocarburizing equipment.
Operates at 125KBit at 1640’ (500m) through a device net.
The integrated device net can interface with process supervisory and automation systems.
